NoFace
Noface is a captivating and thought-provoking projection photography project that pushes the boundaries of visual storytelling. This innovative series of images explores the interplay between human emotions, identity, and anonymity. At the heart of "Noface" lies the concept of concealing the subject's face or identity with light. Using projected imagery, challenging conventional notions of portraiture. Through skillful manipulation of light, shadows, and digital projections, each photograph captures a mesmerizing blend of the visible and the intangible. The project delves into the complex nuances of human expression and the masks we wear in our daily lives. By stripping away the physicality of the known. "Noface" invites viewers to contemplate the universal emotions that transcend appearances. It offers a reflection on the profound human experience of emotional vulnerability and the struggle to express oneself authentically. The choice of imagery projected onto the subjects is carefully curated, encompassing a broad spectrum of themes and symbols. From abstract patterns to evocative landscapes, the projections evoke a range of emotions and narratives, inviting viewers to interpret and connect with the images in a deeply personal way. In "Noface," I masterfully combine the technical aspects of projection mapping with the artistic vision of photography. Each composition is meticulously crafted, ensuring the seamless integration of the projected elements with the surrounding environment. The result is a surreal and otherworldly aesthetic that transports viewers to a realm where reality and imagination converge. NoFace images apeared in a few exhibitiones in multiple countries, several events and a few magazines. I shot over 150 people in this project. There are more than 500 unique, high quality edited photos. Each session concludes in between 100-500 images. It is a process. Time to be creative and have fun. To enjoy yourself and discover new things.
Tom Eshchar created a project using naked models in various poses with a range of quite different images projected onto them. From angel wings to a painting, some of the projections consumed the model’s form while others became visibly integrated within the image.
